At the movies: Jimmy and Stiggs.

 

Jimmy and Stiggs kicked my ass, emotionally. There are times when you have to reckon with the friendships that come apart for all manner of reasons, and the ache gets so loud you can't hear anything else. This movie is like that.

At the movies: Weapons.

 It is such a relief when The Discourse focuses on a film that's genuinely good and interesting. Like this one.

I also love the fact that JG's hair is perfect for both Madonna and Justin Timberlake. She's great in this, btw.

At the movies: Eddington.

 

I did not care for Eddington. And it's complicated.

At the movies: Demons.

Demons is forty years old, and that's insane. It's still a classic, and absolutely worthy of your time. It's a great intro for anyone who wants to dip a toe into Italian horror and dreamlogic.
